Amazon introduces limits to Prime sharing
Amazon updated a policy that limits how many people can share the benefits of each user's Prime subscription.
Several outlets including TechCrunch report Amazon made updates to its policy over the weekend. Originally, Amazon Prime members were allowed to share shipping benefits with up to four family members.
"Free trial or paid Amazon Prime members can share certain Amazon Prime benefits with one other adult by forming an Amazon Household," reads the updated version of Amazon's policy. Also, both users must authorize each other to use their credit or debit cards.
For families, up to four children can share benefits, with no accounts required.
Amazon's Prime membership costs $99 a year. Along with free shipping on most items and exclusive deals, the subscription also features access to streaming video and music services, the Kindle Owners' Lending Library
