Tech Five: Apple launches iPad Pro this week


Apple is launching a new iPad this week, while BlackBerry adds one more carrier supporting its latest smartphone.

Let's take a look at technology stocks to watch Monday:

Apple. The tech giant announced the iPad Pro tablet will hit stores later this week. Consumers can start ordering the device on Wednesday. The iPad Pro features a 12.9-inch Retina Display and a faster processor. Apple will also release accessories including the Apple Pencil and a Smart Keyboard.

Priceline Group. Shares sunk nearly 6% in pre-market trading after the travel giant reported third quarter earnings. The company reported a 7% bump in travel booking and gross profit of $2.9 billion, up 12% year over year.

BlackBerry. The smartphone maker's latest device, the Android-powered Priv, will also appear on Verizon's wireless network, according to a tweet from the carrier. The smartphone is currently available on AT&T and T-Mobile.

Cisco. The networking giant is partnering with Ericsson to create networks of the future, both companies announced in a joint statement Monday. The networks will focus on the growing mobile enterprise market.

Yahoo. The media company is upgrading image to include personalized results from photo service Flickr. When users search for an image, the engine will deliver Web results as well as personal pics from a user's Flickr account, so long as they're logged in to the service.
