Is Starlink down? Tens of thousands of users report outages
Tens of thousands of Starlink users reported issues with their service on Thursday afternoon, July 24.
According to outage detector Downdetector, reports of outages with Starlink began to spike around 3:24 p.m. ET with more than 57,000 reports. The problems continued to arise with a peak of more than 58,000 reports at around 3:39 p.m. ET.
As of 4:01 p.m. ET, reports dropped slightly, with only about 34,000 reports being logged to the website.
The outage was confirmed by Starlink in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Starlink is currently in a network outage and we are actively implementing a solution. We appreciate your patience, we'll share an update once this issue is resolved,” the company said.
