LOS ANGELES — The Apple free app download chart is dominated this week with puzzles from Italy and Japan.
The addictive numbers puzzle 2048 is No. 1 for both iPhone and iPad downloads, while the Japanese reflex game Don't Step the White Tile is also in the top 5 for the iPhone.
Smash Hit, last week's No. 1 for the iPhone, is No. 2 for the iPad and No. 3 for the iPhone.
The top paid iPhone app is the 99 cent Sleep Cycle Alarm Clock, while No. 1 for iPad is the $6.99 game Minecraft.
The top new free app for Android phones is Smash Hit, while Office Lens, a free app tool to take photos of whiteboards is No. 1 for Windows Phones.
