Comedy legend Joan Rivers says if she was starting out in comedy today, she'd ditch the comedy clubs and just look to online exposure instead.
"I would never leave the Internet," says Rivers, who is busy online tweeting at @joan_rivers and hosting an online talk show, In Bed with Joan.
Why go into the trappings of "regular broadcasting," Rivers says, when "on the Internet, people will find you." Your audience "will tweet, and they will let each other know" about you.
Rivers loves the online world, but she hasn't left TV. Her TV reality series on We TV, Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best? airs its season finale Saturday at 9 p.m. and she's the host of E! Entertainment Television's Fashion Police.
