Dinosaur egg candle 'hatches' baby velociraptor

Dinosaur enthusiasts can now add a “little prehistoric ambience” to their homes with an egg-shaped candle that holds a baby velociraptor inside.

As the candle wax melts, the egg-shaped candle slowly reveals a tiny porcelain dinosaur, according to Firebox, the company that sells the candle.

The candle costs $44.89 online. And if you were thinking about overnight shipping it for Christmas Eve; think again. The quirky product won’t be available until 2016, but you can pre-order it, according to Firebox.

While it may look real, Firebox has a few clever disclaimers on the product.

“Sometimes life doesn't find a way. Dinosaurs are 100% extinct,” according to the company.
