Tech Five: Yahoo to reportedly start seeking bidders


Yahoo may begin its search for bidders of its core Internet businesses as soon as Monday. Meanwhile, the battle between Apple and the FBI continues to heat up.

Let's look at technology stocks to watch:

Yahoo. According to Bloomberg, the company will approach potential buyers interested in their Web businesses. Companies that are reportedly interested in striking a deal including Verizon and Comcast. Last week, Yahoo announced it would form a committee to explore "strategic alternatives."

Etsy. The online crafts seller will report fourth quarter earnings after the markets close Tuesday. Etsy is forecast to report revenue of $86.64 million with earnings of 5 cents a share, according to estimates from S&P Global Market Intelligence.

Apple. The tech giant is urging the government to drop a request for access to an iPhone used by one of the killers in the San Bernardino, Calif., shootings. Apple also requested a commissions with experts in intelligence and tech to examine the implications of this decision.

Samsung. The electronics maker rolled out the latest models of its Samsung Galaxy smartphones during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The company is also introducing a camera that can shoot 360-degree videos.

AT&T. Intel is working with the wireless carrier on tests to determine how drones would operate on its LTE network, reports Reuters.
