Yahoo may be preparing to write down one of its biggest deals during the Marissa Mayer era. Meanwhile, Apple heads to Congress.
Let's look at tech stocks to watch Tuesday:

Apple. The tech giant and the FBI will face off in a Congressional hearing Tuesday about encryption. FBI Director James Comey and Apple general counsel Bruce Sewell are expected to testify before the House Judiciary Committee.
Alphabet. The company opened up a section of its store for virtual reality. Customers will be able to purchase the Google Cardboard VR viewer starting at $15, as well as other devices including Mattel's View-Master VR.
GoPro. The high-definition camera maker will acquire mobile editing apps Splice and Replay for an undisclosed sum. Both companies will continue operations in Austin and Paris, respectively.
IBM. The company announced it will acquire security firm Resilient Systems, which specializes in incident response. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
