John Oliver wades into Apple's fight with FBI

Add one more voice in support of tech giant Apple in its fight with the FBI: John Oliver.

The latest episode of HBO's Last Week Tonight tackles encryption, and Apple's battle over a smartphone used by one of the assailants in the San Bernardino, Calif., shootings.

Oliver offers a pretty solid breakdown of the complicated case, and argues forcing Apple to comply with the FBI's request to create software to access the smartphone will have a much broader impact.

On March 22, Apple and the FBI return to federal court to discuss the case, the day after the tech giant is expected to unveil a new, smaller iPhone in a press event at its headquarters in Cupertino, Calif.
