Tech Five: Shares of IBM, Netflix sliding

Get ready for a busy day in tech stocks, with two stalwarts sliding and more earnings results to come.

Let's look at tech stocks to watch Tuesday.

IBM. Shares of Big Blue are sinking early after the company posted its 16th straight quarter with a drop in revenue. IBM reported $18.7 billion in revenue, down 5% compared to the same time last year.

Netflix. Shares of the streaming video giant plunged after warning a price hike for its Standard subscription plan could impact growth. However, Netflix did add more subscribers than forecast for the first quarter.

Yahoo. Do we have a winner in the bidding for Yahoo's Internet business? Yahoo may shed light on this during its earnings call after the bell Tuesday. Telecom giant Verizon has been reported as the frontrunner for Yahoo's assets.

Intel. The chip maker reports quarterly results after the markets close. Analysts with S&P Global Market Intelligence project earnings of 48 cents a share on $13.826 billion in revenue.

Apple. The tech giant rolled out a new line of Macbooks that are -- surprise! -- thinner and lighter than their predecessors. The laptop computers start at $1,299.
