Oculus Rift to debut at Best Buy this month

Consumers interested in the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset will be able to try them out at select Best Buy stores starting May 7.
The VR company says consumers can demo and purchase Rift headsets at one of 48 Best Buy stores before rolling them out to additional locations later this summer. The headsets will also be available to buy online through Microsoft and Amazon starting May 6.
Oculus has also launched an Oculus Live website where users can schedule a demo of Rift up to a month in advance.
While this is good news for consumers curious to explore virtual reality, it's not so good for customers still waiting for pre-orders of the Rift to arrive, many of whom ordered when the device first launched in March.
Some customers took to Twitter and Reddit to complain their orders were taking as long as two months to process and ship. Oculus cited an "unexpected component shortage" for delays.
Oculus says customers who pre-ordered Rift can purchase a headset at retail, cancel their online order, but retain the benefits including priority status to order the Touch controllers. Oculus also says retail supplies will be "extremely limited" because of the pre-order delay.
