The 5 times Google trolled Apple at Pixel event
SAN FRANCISCO — Google trolled Apple at its #MadeByGoogle launch event for its new Pixel smartphone that is taking on the iPhone.
Here are the five times Google took a direct swipe at Apple:
Storage space
Unlimited. "At Pixel, you can say goodbye to those painful storage full pop-ups."
Camera bump
Some people don't like the camera lens that sticks out. Pixel promises no unsightly camera bump.
Easy switching
Pixel comes with a Lightning-to-mini USB cable to let you switch all your information seamlessly from your old phone to the Pixel. The presenter showed a photograph of an iPhone.
Designer color names
Google said Pixel is available in three colors — quite black, very silver and really blue — poking fun at Apple which released the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in black and jet black.
The headphone jack
As in, there is one. A video promoting the Pixel touts: "3.5 mm headphone jack satisfyingly not new." In the background, someone coughs "ahem."
