Report: Amazon working on phone with 3-D screen
Amazon is reportedly planning to expand its reach in the tech gadget space beyond tablets.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the company is working on two smartphones and a standalone device for streaming audio.
Citing "people familiar with the company's plans," the report says one of Amazon's planned smartphones would feature a 3-D screen that works without glasses. The device would also include eye-tracking technology, so users could scroll with only their eyes.
Amazon has been linked to several rumors previously that it would make another device beyond its line of Kindle e-readers and Kindle Fire tablets. Last month, outlets including Bloomberg reported the company was developing a set-top box.
