What's on Vince Gill's home screen?

Vince Gill may be Nashville's consummate musician, and he's got a new album with steel-guitar player Paul Franklin called Bakersfield that pays tribute to country greats Merle Haggard and Buck Owens.

But whether Gill's in Tennessee, California or out on the road, he likes having The Weather Channel app handy.

"I like being able to find the radar for the weather," he says.

Gill's not one of those guys who loves to track thunderstorms in real time, though.

"It's more for golf," he says. "I want to know if the cell's going to hit the golf course, and whether I should go or not."
