Before James Cameron made his bones sinking legendary ships or rendering blue aliens in 3D he was one of the most celebrated action directors in Hollywood. His 1994 film True Lies is edge-of-your-seat exciting from start to finish and also one of the best Arnold Schwarzenegger performances. Now, it's being adapted for the small screen.

What is True Lies about?

Even the most healthy marriages occasionally have a few secrets. Few couples have more secrets than Henry and Helen Tasker. On the surface, Henry is a computer consultant living a happy suburban life with his wife. However, Helen soon discovers the truth: that her husband is a skilled international spy. Together they must save the world, and, if there's time, their marriage.

Of course, the roles of the Taskers made famous by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis have been recast. Henry Tasker will be played by Steve Howey of Shameless fame. Helen Tasker will be played by Ginger Gonzaga, fresh off of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Matthew Lillard, Keith David and Jackson Hurst are all confirmed to serve in guest roles along with Tom Arnold, who was in the original 1994 film.

You can watch the premiere as well as new episodes of season one as they air on Paramount+.
