Advice columns are often filled with practical wisdom. Dear Abby, for instance, is a household name for her font of knowledge on everything from relationships to child-rearing. Writer and podcaster Cheryl Strayed dished out advice anonymously in "The Rumpus" column "Dear Sugar." She compiled the best stories into a book, which is now getting a Hulu adaptation, starring Kathryn Hahn.

What is 'Tiny Beautiful Things' about?
"Tiny Beautiful Things" is based on the 2012 book of the same name by author Cheryl Strayed. The book is a collection of essays from Strayed's anonymous advice column in the literary magazine "The Rumpus." Strayed responded to all questions with brutal honesty and often drew from her own life experiences. Strayed outed herself as Sugar in February of 2012, a few months before "Tiny Beautiful Things" was released.
The Hulu adaptation will portray "Sugar" during the time she wrote the anonymous column, which was fairly tumultuous behind the scenes. Names will be changed to protect the innocent, with Kathryn Hahn playing advice columnist "Clare." All eight episodes will air on Friday, April 7 on Hulu.
