How to turn off Find My iPhone
According to the Apple website, turning off Find My iPhone can be done in five easy steps.
- Go into your Settings app
- At the top of the screen you’ll see your name, tap that and scroll down to the “Find My” settings
- In the “Find My” settings, the very first option will be whether you’d like to turn the function on or off. To deactivate Find My iPhone, turn the function off
- You will then be prompted to enter your Apple ID. Enter your Apple ID to confirm you’d like to deactivate the feature.
- Finally, you’ll be able to officially deactivate the function
How to remove a device from Find My iPhone
The Apple website explains how you can remove a device from the Find My app in three steps
- Make sure the device you want to remove is turned off. If you're removing Airpods, make sure they’re in the case
- Go to iCloud.com and go to the Find My iPhone section. Open Find My iPhone and go to all devices
- Select the specific device you would like to remove. Once selected, click remove device
