Iconic Hot Wheels race to 50th Anniversary
The hot little die-cast toy has been running for 50 fast years.

The North American International Toy Fair marks an important year for toy brand Hot Wheels: its 50th anniversary.
Fifty years ago, the classic toy car franchise was created by the co-founder of Mattel, home to other iconic toys including Barbie.
Since 1968, more than 6 billion Hot Wheels cars have been sold. According to Mattel, 10 Hot Wheels vehicles are sold every second.
This year, Hot Wheels announced it is partnering with vehicular soccer game Rocket League on a remote-controlled set, featuring Bluetooth-enabled cars players can drive with their smart device.
Hot Wheels has come a long way from that first diecast Camaro it released in 1968. Let's take a look back:
