Obama, Biden: Overseas at the same time (for a few minutes)
Tuesday night brought an unusual situation: President Obama and Vice President Biden overseas at the same time.
But only for a few minutes.
Obama departed aboard Air Force One for Israel at around 8:10 p.m.
Biden, returning on Air Force Two from Rome and the installation of Pope Francis, touched down at Joint Base Andrews near Washington at 8:27 p.m.
However you slice it, it wasn't a constitutional crisis.
Obama remains chief executive and commander in chief regardless of where he is, in the air or on the ground.
