Obama's day: Faith leaders and a tribal conference
President Obama spends Wednesday with groups of faith leaders and Native Americans.
The president's mid-morning meeting with organized religious groups will focus on immigration. The White House is trying to pressure the Republican House into signing off on a bill approved earlier this year by the Democratic-run Senate.
The White House did not provide a guest list for the faith leaders meeting.
In the mid-afternoon, Obama delivers a speech to the 2013 Tribal Nations Conference that is meeting at the Department of Interior.
One question: Will Obama bring up the controversy surrounding the nickname of pro football's Washington Redskins?
Later in the day, Obama and Vice President Biden have separate meetings with key Cabinet members: Secretary of State John Kerry and Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel.
