White House to celebrate first lady's 50th birthday

A big milestone is coming up: The 50th birthday of first lady Michelle Obama.

The White House is reportedly planning a birthday party that involves some eating and some dancing.

Though Obama hits the 5-0 on Jan. 17, the event is being set for the next day.

"The White House has been sending out save-the-date emails for a Jan. 18 gala dubbed 'Snacks & Sips & Dancing & Dessert,' sources told the Tribune.

"Guests are being told: Wear comfortable shoes, eat before you come and practice your dance moves.

"Who's invited and who'll entertain remain under wraps."
