Obama's day: Welcoming France

It's France Day at the White House.
President Obama formally welcomes French President Francois Hollande to the White House on Tuesday morning, starting a day that includes a string of meetings capped by a state dinner at night.
The American and French presidents will conduct a joint news conference midday.
The state dinner will settle a long-standing question: Who will sit next to Hollande? The French president's long-time girlfriend recently left him after he was caught with another woman.
Obama and Hollande informally opened the state visit Monday with a trip to Thomas Jefferson's home at Monticello, Va.
Obama president also has some non-French activity on Tuesday, including meetings with senior advisers as well as Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel.
