Obama's day: On to Minnesota
President Obama hits the road again Thursday, visiting Minnesota to start a new series of White House trips.
Obama will have lunch with Rebekah Erler, who wrote him a letter earlier this year about the challenges of making ends meet.
The president also hosts a town hall and a congressional campaign fundraiser during an all-day visit to the Minneapolis area.
It's the first in a series of what the White House is calling "Day-in-the-Life" trips in which Obama meets with everyday Americans, some of whom have written him letters.
While in Minnesota on Thursday, Obama will host a town hall in Minnehaha Park.
In the evening, Obama headlines a campaign fundraiser for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
Obama will spend the night in Minnesota, and deliver an economic speech on Friday.
