Obama, Netanyahu meet Wednesday
President Obama renews his sometimes-tense relationship with Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday, meeting with the Israeli leader at the White House.
While Obama and Netanyahu have sometimes been at odds over peace talks with the Palestinians, a main topic of this session will be Obama's plan to roll back the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.
Another expected topic: Iran.
The United States and allies are negotiating with Iran over the status of its nuclear program. Netanyahu has warned the U.S. about the talks, saying that Iran is seeking the means to make a nuclear weapon. Iran denies it.
Obama and Netanyahu also plan to discuss the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians in Gaza.
White House spokesman Josh Earnest said, "Prime Minister Netanyahu's visit is a demonstration of the deep and enduring bonds between the United States and Israel, and our close consultations on a range of regional issues."
