Obama's Sunday: On the campaign trail
President Obama has an unusually busy Sunday schedule, campaigning in two states for Democratic gubernatorial candidates.
Along the way, the president is also expected to receive more updates on efforts to contain the Ebola virus.
Obama, who canceled scheduled campaign events last week because of the Ebola threat, travels in the late afternoon Sunday to Upper Marlboro, Md. He will speak on behalf of Anthony Brown, who is running for governor.
After headlining some 60 fundraisers for Democratic campaign committees and candidates, this will be Obama's first public rally of the year on behalf of a specific candidate.
Obama's second rally comes Sunday night as he travels for Chicago for an event on behalf of incumbent Gov. Pat Quinn.
The president will remain overnight in Chicago, where he has a Democratic National Committee fundraiser on Monday.
