Obama's day: Education and the Internet

President Obama turns to education policy Wednesday, hosting a White House meeting of superintendents and school officials from across the country.

Their topic: The "ConnectED" program, a pledge to give nearly all of the nation's students access to high speed Internet by the year 2018.

The guests at "ConnectED to the Future" conference "are leading their schools and districts in the transition to digital learning," says the White House schedule.

Obama also has a bill signing on Wednesday, the Child Care and Development Block Grant Act of 2014.

White House officials will also be working on the immigration executive orders that Obama is expected to announce soon. The orders could grant legal status to millions of migrants now in the United States illegally.
