Obama's day: Mexico's president, a group of governors
President Obama practices foreign and domestic policy on Tuesday, meeting with the president of Mexico and a group of governors from the United States.
In the late morning, Obama and Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto will meet and discuss "economic, security and social issues, as well as underscoring the deep cultural ties and friendship that exist between our two countries," says the White House schedule.
Likely topics include immigration and border security.
The two presidents will have an Oval Office meeting and a working lunch at the White House.
In the mid-afternoon, Obama will meet with the executive committee of the National Governors Association. They are likely to discuss legislative priorities that include new road and bridge spending.
The president also has a late afternoon meeting scheduled with outgoing Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel.
