Obama congratulates Yosemite climbers

President Obama used social media to send congratulations to the climbers who made it to the top of El Capitan in Yosemite National Park.

"Congratulations to Tommy Caldwell and Kevin Jorgeson for conquering Yosemite National Park's El Capitan!" said a Facebook post by the White House.

It added: "You remind us that anything is possible."

The post shows a smiling Obama standing in front of a painting of the mountain.

Jorgeson, 30, and Caldwell, 36, are the first to "free climb" El Capitan's Dawn Wall, scaling the 3,000-foot granite wall using only their hands, feet and safety rope.
