Obama's day: Kansas and YouTube

President Obama continues his State of the Union follow-up on Thursday, starting with a speech in Kansas and ending with an appearance on YouTube.

At midday, Obama will discuss plans for "middle-class economics" in a speech at the University of Kansas in Lawrence.

The president, who made middle class concerns the centerpiece of his State of the Union Address on Tuesday night, began his post-speech trip Wednesday at Boise State University in Idaho.

After the Kansas speech, Obama returns to Washington and engages in another effort to spread his message via social media.

The president will be interviewed by content creators on the YouTube website who have solicited questions from their viewers.

"YouTube creators Bethany Mota, GloZell and Hank Green interview President Obama about the top concerns facing them and their audiences," says the website.
