Obama to travel to Indy on Friday
President Obama will follow up the release of his proposed budget this week with a Friday trip to Indianapolis.
Obama is scheduled to discuss his plans for "middle-class economics" in an appearance at Ivy Tech Community College.
Indiana is the latest Republican-leaning state to receive a visit from Obama.
In the days following his Jan. 20 State of the Union speech, the president made appearances in Idaho and Kansas.
From the Indianapolis Star:
"This will be the seventh time Obama has visited Indiana since becoming president in 2009, including his first presidential trip outside the D.C. area — to Elkhart — in February of that year.
"The president visited a southern Indiana auto plant supplier in September to tout his economic policies."
