Obama's day: The UAE, Ohio State, Cabinet members

President Obama starts the week with a diverse set of meetings Monday, including a leader of a key Middle East ally, a championship football team, and a pair of Cabinet members.

In the afternoon, Obama welcomes Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates to the White House.

Their topics include the battle against the Islamic State, the proposed nuclear agreement with Iran, and conflicts in Yemen, Libya, and Syria.

Later in the day, Obama hosts an event honoring the champions of college football, the Ohio State Buckeyes. "This visit will continue the tradition begun by President Obama of honoring sports teams for their efforts to give back to their communities," the White House said.

Obama's schedule also includes meetings with Cabinet members: Secretary of State John Kerry in the morning, and Treasury Secretary Jack Lew in the afternoon.
