Obama's day: A trip to Florida
President Obama begins a two-day trip to Florida on Wednesday devoted to campaign fundraising and hurricane preparation.
The president, who departs the White House in the early afternoon, flies to Miami for a pair of Democratic National Committee fundraisers late in the day.
After spending the night in Miami, Obama on Thursday will visit the National Hurricane Center to receive his annual hurricane season preparedness briefing.
The president is scheduled to return to Washington, D.C., late in the day on Thursday.
