Obama's day: The Giants of baseball
President Obama's public schedule Thursday features a familiar event: Honoring the San Francisco Giants for winning baseball's World Series.
The Giants will be at the White House in the afternoon for winning the 2014 World Series, their third title in the previous five years; Obama hosted the two previous events spotlighting the Giants.
"The President will also recognize the efforts the Giants make to give back to their community as part of their visit, continuing the tradition begun by President Obama of honoring sports teams for their efforts on and off the field," says the White House schedule.
It's the only public event on the Thursday schedule for Obama, who also has a string of private meetings.
