Obama's day: Supreme Court, Iftar dinner

President Obama spends Monday waiting for the Supreme Court and planning for an annual Ramadan celebration.

The high court is scheduled to issue rulings in the morning, and Obama and his aides are awaiting major decisions on health care and gay marriage that may or may not come today.

After a day-long series of meetings on Monday, Obama also hosts the annual White House Iftar dinner celebrating the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

The president returned to the White House late Sunday after a four-day trip to California that included fundraisers, a speech to a conference of mayors, and a couple of golfing days in Palm Springs.
