White House makes big change to tours
For the first time in 40 years, visitors to the White House can take pictures and use social media during public tours of "the nation's house."
But they'll still have to leave their selfie sticks at home.

People taking the official White House tour no longer have to stow their cameras or smart phones.
Pictures and social media are now okay.
First lady Michelle Obama, on her Instagram account, announced the end of those bans Wednesday.
She is seen ripping up a sign once displayed on White House tours: "No photos or social media allowed."
No reason for the change is being given.
From the Associated Press:
"The long-standing ban is ending Wednesday, when guests can start using phone cameras and compact still cameras. ...
"Still banned are video cameras, including action camcorders, cameras with detachable lenses, tablets, tripods, monopods and camera sticks.
"Flash photography and live-streaming also remain prohibited."
