Obama's day: Off to Las Vegas
On his first day back from summer vacation, President Obama spends Monday flying to Las Vegas for a climate change speech and some political fundraising.
The president, who returned to the White House from Martha's Vineyard on Sunday night, also has a string of meetings Monday morning.
They include lunch with vice president -- and potential 2016 presidential candidate -- Joe Biden.
In the afternoon, Obama departs for Las Vegas and a speech to the National Clean Energy Summit. The president is expected to outline his climate change policy, a major theme for the administration in the months ahead.
While in Vegas, Obama will headline a fundraiser for the Nevada State Democratic Party.
After spending the night in Nevada, Obama will return to Washington on Tuesday.
