Barack Obama travels to the United Nations

President Obama leaves Washington, D.C., on Sunday for his annual trip to the United Nations (as well as a Democratic fundraiser).

After landing in New York City, Obama will address a mid-afternoon U.N. meeting on a global development agenda.

Later, the president visits the U.S. mission to the United Nations to meet with employees and their families.

Obama turns to domestic politics Sunday evening as he delivers remarks at a Democratic National Committee LGBT gala.

The president will stay in New York overnight and address the U.N. General Assembly on Monday morning.

Later that day, Obama meets with Russia President Vladimir Putin for a tense talk about Russian activity in Ukraine and Syria.
