Obama's day: Following another shooting
President Obama has no public events on his schedule for Friday, but may still speak out on Thursday's mass shooting at a community college in Oregon.
During an early evening appearance in the White House press room, Obama said this latest mass shooting again shows the need to beef up the nation's gun laws.
"Each time this happens I am going to say that we can actually do something about it, but we're going to have to change our laws," Obama said.
"And this is not something I can do by myself," he added. "I've got to have a Congress and I've got to have state legislatures and governors who are willing to work with me on this."
