Miami airport concourse reopens after bomb scare

Miami airport's Concourse J has reopened after a bomb scare, according to an airport spokesman.

Police closed and evacuated the concourse for about an hour this morning after a bomb-sniffing dog detected something on a pallet there, according to The Associated Press.

"Everything has reopened," said airport spokesman Greg Chin. "Our Concourse J was evacuated for about an hour while Miami-Dade Police investigated a suspicious item."

Police spokeswoman Robin Pinkard says the bomb squad will examine the pallet.

Among the major airlines that operate out of Miami's Concourse J are Aerolineas Argentinas, Air Canada, Air Jamaica, Avianca, Lufthansa, Swiss, TACA, TAM, TAP and US Airways.
