Amazon 'thanks' FAA by putting Kindles on sale
Online retail giant Amazon is lining up beside airline passengers to applaud the Federal Aviation Administration's move to last week relax rules on fliers' electronic gadgets.
The company unveiled a one-day-only "Thank You, FAA" sale today, with the online retail giant knocking 15% off Kindle readers bought at Amazon.com.
In a sale promo on its website, Amazon says:
"You can use your Kindle from take-off through landing. To say thank you, we're taking 15% off — today only."
To get the discount, Amazon customers must enter "ThnksFAA" at checkout.
