Remember LAX's jetpack man? Officials think he could actually be a balloon

LAX's jetpack man might not be Iron Man after all.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which have been looking into three separate jetpack sightings above Los Angeles International Airport, said balloons were "one working theory" for the sightings in a statement to Paste BN.
An American Airlines pilot first spotted what he described as "a guy in a jetpack" on August 30, 2020, while landing at LAX. Another pilot confirmed an object near his plane looked like a jetpack just a few weeks later on Oct. 14, 2020.
The jetpack man was thought to be back July 28, 2021, when yet another pilot told LAX air traffic controllers that he saw a man off his right wing.

So how did balloon theory come to be? It might have had something to do with videos and photos taken by Los Angeles Police Department helicopter crew in early November 2020, which were later shared with the FAA.
The footage shows a balloon floating above Los Angeles that looks to be of Jack Skellington, a character from Tim Burton's "The Nightmare Before Christmas."
None of the sightings have been verified, according to the FAA and FBI.
