Airfare shopper’s guide: Flight deals from Denver
This is the second in a series on city-specific deals.
The basics
- Airport code: DEN
- Airlines: 20+ including several several international carriers
- Free Wi-Fi: Yes, plus hundreds of easy-access electrical outlets for charging.
- Restaurants: 50+ ranging from Boulder Beer Tap House to Timberline Steaks & Grill.
- Nice touch: Stress-relieving therapy dogs wearing "Pet Me" vests.
- Parking: From $13 per day for economy lots to $24 per day for garage parking.
- Commuter rail: This convenient line takes about 30 minutes to travel downtown for $9; trains run every 15 minutes during peak periods.
- Shuttle service: The airport website lists a dozen bus lines that travel to popular ski destinations; there are some on-demand seats, but reservations are recommended.

Denver has loads of airline competition which helps keep fares cheap, and is headquarters for a well-known discount carrier, Frontier. Other airlines currently flying in and out of Denver include the big three (American, Delta, United) plus the following.

- International carriers: Aeromexico, Air Canada, British Airways, Icelandair, Lufthansa and Volaris.
