TV personality Jeff Corwin to headline Panama cruise

Always wanted to meet Jeff Corwin? Now you can on a cruise.

The host of ABC's Ocean Mysteries with Jeff Corwin will be the guest of honor on a Costa Rica and Panama Canal sailing on a Windstar Cruises ship.

The seven-night voyage on the 212-passenger Star Breeze will kick off March 5 and include a private event that Corwin will host at Isla de Coiba, an island off Panama's Pacific coast that is known for its wildlife. The island is a national park and UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Isla de Coiba: Island Experience Private Event will offer passengers the chance to view howler monkeys, scarlett macaws, turtles and other wildlife in their natural environment, the line says.

Windstar says Corwin will lead a talk on animal conservation during the private event at Isla de Coiba. The experience also includes beach and sport activities such as volleyball, snorkeling and bocce ball, as well as a full beach barbecue.

Corwin also is slated to give an on-board lecture during the sailing and will join passengers for dinners. Fares for the voyage start at $3,599 per person, based on double occupancy.
