Royal Caribbean drops good-for-you eatery just months after debut

So much for healthful eating on Royal Caribbean's newest ship.

The Miami-based cruise giant has quietly dropped the healthful food-focused Devinly Decadence eatery on its new Anthem of the Seas, which debuted just eight months ago.

Designed by The Biggest Loser chef and cookbook author Devin Alexander, the restaurant touted yummy-but-good-for-you dishes that tipped the scales at under 500 calories a piece.

Tweets from Alexander to the Royal Caribbean Blog, which first wrote about the change, cited her busy schedule as a reason the eatery was shut down.

"We underestimated time I'd need 2b on ship 2properly execute my vision/brand," she wrote.

A new eatery called the Solarium Bistro has taken Devinly Decadence's place on Anthem of the Seas. Another Devinly Decadence eatery on Anthem's sister ship, China-based Quantum of the Seas, also has been removed.

Paste BN Cruise in April was among a handful of U.S. media outlets to get early access to Anthem of the Seas ahead of its christening in Southampton, England.
