Deal watch: Viking offers savings for solo travelers

Traveling solo in 2015? River line Viking is offering savings for single travelers on three of its most popular European itineraries.

The line has reduced the "single supplement" that solo travelers normally have to pay to occupy a cabin designed for two on its Danube Waltz, Tulips & Windmills and Rhine Getaway sailings.

Available through Feb. 29, the offer reduces the single supplement from 100% of the double occupancy rate to as little as 25% on the sailings.

Viking's Danube Waltz itinerary features seven nights of travel on the Danube from Budapest, Hungary to Passau, Germany. The Tulips & Windmills itinerary includes nine nights of travel in the Netherlands and Belgium out of Amsterdam.

The Rhine Getaway itinerary features seven nights of travel down the Rhine from Amsterdam to Basel, Switzlerland.

Solo travelers can get the discounted single supplement rate by booking through a travel agent or by calling Viking at 800-464-5595 and asking for Offer E125Echo.
