Disney Cruise Line to offer first voyage to Bonaire

Add Bonaire to the list of destinations that you can reach on a Disney cruise.

Disney Cruise Line on Tuesday announced it would offer its first sailing to the Dutch Caribbean island in early 2018 out of San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The seven-night sailing will take place on the 1,754-passenger Disney Wonder and kick off on Jan. 28, 2018. It'll include calls at several Southern Caribbean ports.

Disney Wonder also will sail two other Southern Caribbean voyages out of San Juan on Jan. 14 and 21, 2018, the line said.

In addition, Disney Wonder will return to San Diego in 2018 for seven voyages to Baja and the Mexican Riviera. Five-night sailings will visit Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada, Mexico, while two- and three-night cruises call on Ensenada.

Disney on Tuesday also said its 2,500-passenger Disney Fantasy and sister ship Disney Dream would continue to be based in Port Canaveral, Fla. in early 2018. Disney Fantasy will continue to operate seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean voyages, while Disney Dream embarks on three- and four-night cruises to the Bahamas.

Disney Wonder also will be based in Port Canaveral from Feb. 8 through April 8, 2018, to offer additional three-, four- and seven-night voyages.

Disney's fourth ship, the 1,754-passenger Disney Magic, will spend early 2018 sailing from Miami. It'll sail four- and five-night voyages to the Bahamas as well as five-night Western Caribbean cruises.
