Deal watch: Princess kicks off 'anniversary sale'

Princess Cruises is out with a promotion for Wave Season -- the period from January through March when a disproportionate percentage of cruises are booked.

The Anniversary Sale, as it's being called, brings on-board credits of up to $600 per cabin on select voyages. Customers booking a balcony cabin or suite also will receive free dining in specialty restaurants that normally come with an extra charge.

Under the terms of the offer, customers booking an interior or ocean-view cabin on a six- to nine-night voyage will receive $150 in on-board credits. Those booking 10- to 12-night sailings will get $200. Longer voyages will result in a $300 credit.

The on-board credit is double the above amounts for customers booking balcony cabins and suites.

The promotion will continue through Feb. 28 and is available to residents of the United States, Canada, Mexico and Bermuda.
