Photo tour: Inside one of Crystal Cruises' elegant new river ships, Crystal Mahler
BUDAPEST, Hungary — Thinking about a river cruise in Europe? Our latest Cruise Ship Tour, in the carousel above, offers a deck-by-deck look at one of the most spacious and elegant vessels on the continent's waterways, Crystal Cruises' new Crystal Mahler.
Sailing on the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers, Mahler is one one of four upscale sister ships the longtime luxury leader has debuted in Europe over the past year as part of a rapid expansion into river cruising.
As can be seen in the tour, Crystal is bringing a new level of luxury to river cruising. Mahler and its sisters feature by far the most spacious rooms on Europe's rivers. They also boast an unprecedented level of service. Each of the ships sails with a crew of 68 people to serve 106 passengers — a far higher ratio than exists on any other river ship in Europe. The vessels also have much more space devoted to kitchens than typical river ships in Europe, as well as more kitchen staff, allowing for a level of made-to-order cuisine that until now has been unknown in European river cruising.
The Mahler tour is part of our ongoing series of cruise ship galleries. For deck-by-deck tours of dozens of other passenger vessels sailing the world's oceans and rivers, click on the links below:
