Silversea unveils another epic world cruise for 2017


Luxury line Silversea is planning another epic world cruise for 2017 that will include stops at 62 ports across five continents.

The 116-day voyage on the 382-passenger Silver Whisper will kick off Jan. 6, 2017 in San Francisco and end in Monte Carlo on May 3, 2017.

After leaving San Francisco, the Silver Whisper will head westward to Hawaii, the South Pacific and New Zealand before sailing around the southern side of Australia. From there, the ship will visit Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Taiwan before sailing along the coast of China from Shanghai to Hong Kong. Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore also are on the routing.

From Singapore, the Silver Whisper will head to Sri Lanka, India and the Middle East before transiting the Suez Canal to the Mediterranean. Oman, Jordan, Egypt, Greece, Malta and Italy are among the countries where the ship will be stopping.

Fares for the world cruise start at $61,550 per person, based on double occupancy. The price includes a pre-cruise overnight stay at the Four Season in San Francisco, business class air to reach the ship, transfers, a $4,000 on-board spending credit per cabin, complimentary laundry service, and free unlimited Internet access.
