First look: Frozen Ever After is coming to Disney World's Epcot
Continuing their The Coolest Summer Ever celebration, Disney World has offered a quick glimpse of a new look for an older attraction today – the new Frozen overlay to Epcot's old Norway attraction, the Maelstrom.
Frozen Ever After will utilize the Maelstrom's log boats and send guests on the same overall path as the previous version of the attraction, but instead of mythological gods and polar bears, Frozen Ever After will transport riders to Arendelle, the home kingdom to Princess Anna and Queen Elsa, stars of the animated movie.
There, guests will experience a Winter in Summer event held every year in Arendelle, visiting with friends from the movie including Olaf, Elsa and Anna, Sven and Kristoff, and even the monstrous Marshmallow. New favorites the Snowgies from the short Frozen Fever will also make an appearance during the ride, which caps off with the singing of Let It Go, the fan-favorite number from Frozen.
Frozen Ever After is due to open in 2016 at Disney World's Epcot theme park.
